"I made them in her image, but I couldn't remember her features. It was painful, the idea of forgetting her. I settled with her nose and eye shape. And her hair. I couldn't…remember anything else." - ???

Aeris' has an unmoving and rather dull face. Their eyes are more like eye-sockets with dark interiors. They lack a mouth, but they do have a prominent nose. Two face plates on their cheeks are the only things that give a sign of life when they move to expel steam every so often.

Eye Color: N/A (Only has eye sockets, which have a black interior)
Skin Color: Gray/Silver (Various silver metals, mostly simple metals like iron)
Hair: Black, in a short bob-like cut

Body Type: Lanky, boxy shapes, with raised plated areas that mimic armor placement and suggest a more naturally humanoid form
Additional Features: Multiple vents around various parts of the body/The ability for plated areas to raise and expel from the body, area on back to open for easy repair access

Hobbies and Talents: Basic cooking skills, basic cleaning skills, interested in learning art and mechanic skills as well as a better knowledge of cooking/baking

Mechanics:
Mech Mechanic II - Mech Automata are able to change their appearance and/or the composition of themselves through non-magical means. Aeris seldom uses this ability, but shifts the plating on their body around to expel steam when needed.
Mech Mechanic III (Skyborn Heritage Mechanics) - Through the virtue of being a machine, Mech Automata do not need to choose a Tech Branch for any tech related work they do. If a branch has specific requirements (such as religion or affliction), they are only able to edit or repair the tech associated with that branch and not build or create anything through it. Aeris' rather poor understanding of their own technology hinders this ability as of current.
Mech Automata have the innate ability to understand and comprehend machinery, similarly to the Skyborn. This may allow them to learn more about a device or machine's mechanics and see things about it that other people may not pick up on. This only really applies during Events, however.
Mech Automata also have the ability to "hack" and tamper with any machinery within a viewing distance (except for in events.) Aeris is far too simply made to use this ability to the fullest extent, and barely knows how to do this or why they would need to.
Mech Mechanic IV (Chosen Skyborn Heritage Mechanic) - Some automata have the ability to analyze and identify component ingredients and materials of various kinds. Due to their past with aiding in the creation of small machinery, Aeris is able to

〉〉〉 Backstory & Plothooks 〈〈〈

- Involuntary Displacement
Aeris claims to not know the exact location of their previous home, having been brought to Regalia by their creator who ensured they would keep no memory of his face. This attributes to their lack of understanding to the world around them which in turn fuels their curiosity.

- Make-Shift Machinery
While Aeris assures those around them they are made of fine material, Aeris' creator was clearly not as skilled as he claimed to be. The metals used in their creation are a mixed batch of different scraps that were boiled into one. Unfortunately, these metals did not quite mix as intended and left Aeris susceptible to oxidation and chipping on their exterior.

- In Her Image
The automaton seems to be loosely modeled after an Ailor who was killed in a civil dispute on the outskirts of Regalia, wearing a set of her clothes. Not that the woman was influential, but Aeris does seem to have some...locked away information about the woman. Strangely enough.

- Famously Un-famous
Rather than being made by somebody who had a standing in Regalia, Aeris' creator is clearly an unknown and rather random man by the name of Deilio Eormenhild. Aeris remembers a key statement from him, clarifying his personality.
"Not a household name, but sure to be some day!"
It is safe to say that Deilio will never be a household name.
